Installation took about ten minutes with the included hardware, and it clicks in so solidly that I don't worry about it shifting at all. My son's been sleeping in his converted toddler bed for a week now and hasn't rolled anywhere near the edge.
Installation took maybe ten minutes once I pulled the front crib panel off, and the rail clips in solidly with zero wobble when my son leans on it. The ebony color blends right in with our existing furniture, so the transition to a toddler bed actually looks intentional rather than tacked on.
The ebony finish matches our crib perfectly, and the way it clicks onto the front rail after removing the panel feels rock-solid. My daughter's been rolling over in her sleep for a week now and hasn't once gotten close to the edge.
